            One of our primary goals in third grade is to teach the basic skills.
          We encourage our students to participate in the Accelerated Reading
          program to enable them to read critically and for enjoyment.  Another
          goal is to guide students to become problem solvers by identifying problems,
          planning solutions, and thinking critically and creatively.
