Session 1 Internet and Curriculum Integration
This session is designed to model how productivity tools and Internet-based research can fit into the information problem-solving process, especially when using web-based lessons such as WebQuests. Participants learn how to create web pages and insert graphics, sound, and other media into web-based lessons that enhance classroom integration of technology.
Session 2 Multimedia and Curriculum Integration
This session covers many aspects of technology integration in the classroom through the use of multimedia. It is full of practical ideas and insights to get one started using various technologies.
Session 3 Digital Video and Curriculum Integration
Desktop movies demonstrate how video can be a powerful tool for engaging and inspiring students. Session attendees learn how to create simple desktop movies. Presenters share ideas for digital video use in classroom projects.
During these sessions the teacher will:
- Model collaborative project-based learning
- Discuss classroom management for student centered learning
- Receive “just-in-time” technology skill development
- Incorporate specific technologies for specific grade levels and content areas
- Explore and discuss exemplary teaching practices
- Use technology to create materials to be used in your unit
- Address content standards and authentic assessment practices.
All sessions will be held from 8:30 am . - 3:30 pm. No participant allowed after 8:45 am . No exceptions. Please make plans to stay until 3:30 pm. No early dismissals will be allowed.
A teacher must attend the entire three days of a session in order to receive the Technology Combo (computer, printer, digital camera, scanner, and desk). No exceptions.
The Technology Combo is the property of the campus and is assigned to the participating classroom teacher at that campus.
