About Us
The McAllen I.S.D. Instructional Technology department strives to provide the best available instructional technology training and tools for the school community to enhance student achievement. Our programs and projects align with national, state, and district initiatives/mandates/standards.

The Instructional Technology department is responsible for all technology staff development. Our mission is to create, maintain and perpetuate a teaching and learning environment in which students, teachers, administrators and the community use technology as a tool for learning. Our goal is to provide technology training and support for McAllen I.S.D. Staff.

All professional development sessions are correlated to the ISTE NETS standards for teachers as well as the Texas Teacher Competencies. Materials and activities are developed to help K-12 teachers integrate technology into student-centered learning environments.
