Wal-Mart
Community Outreach Program |
|
Statistics show that, on any given day, more
than 500,000 shoplifting crimes occur in the U.S. Most
shoplifters begin as juveniles. To address the problem,
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. Loss
Prevention will work with local schools and communities to help
educate our youth and deter shoplifting with the LP
Outreach Program.
Presentations are available for elementary school, middle school
and high school levels. Learn more about the shoplifting problem
and its costs to society by visiting the
National Association for Shoplifting Prevention’s Web site.

Wal-Mart Foundation |

Wal-Mart
and SAM’S CLUBS
believe in grassroots giving so its stores, clubs and distribution
centers direct 100% of its funding initiatives. Many of their
community involvement programs require and encourage its
Associates to be directly involved with community non-profit
organizations and their projects. When they support national
causes, they require that funds stay in the local community to
benefit the area where they are raised.
Eligible to receive grants from
Wal-Mart Foundation are:
-
501 (c ) 3 organizations
-
Schools – Public, parochial and private.
(501 (c ) (3) guideline restrictions may apply.)
-
Religious Organizations whose activities
impact the general community, not a single group.
-
Government Agencies
-
Civic and Veterans Groups where funds are
used for a project benefiting the community.
All requests for funding must be made
through the Good Works Coordinator
at your local facility (Wal-Mart, SAM’S CLUB,
Neighborhood Market or distribution center). |
