McAllen ISD Bus Drivers to be Recognized for their Performance and Dedication

The Texas Association of School Boards has awarded McAllen ISD $2,000 to be used to set up a bus driver recognition program in the Transportation Department.  The program aims to recognize bus drivers for their performance and dedication to their profession and to motivate them to continue to perform their duties safely.  “It is a program of positive reinforcement that we hope will keep vehicle accidents down, lower claims and claims costs associated with the accidents, conpensation benefits, fleet insurance, vehicle repairs, downtime, litigation, and training,” says Andy Silva, Safety Loss Control Specialist for McAllen ISD.
