Actor, writer and director Jose Angel (JoJo) Henrickson graduated from McAllen High School in 1984 and moved to Los Angeles shortly after turning nineteen.  During his first year in Los Angeles he performed stand-up comedy and continued doing so for about 6 years.  Since then he has also studied improvisational comedy as well as dramatic theater.

He says that the four-year KMAC broadcasting class he took in high school allowed him to pursue work as a cameraman and editor for several years before landing a directing job on PLACAS, a Spanish language reality television show which aired on Telemundo in the late 1990's.

In 2001 he acted in the cult classic Space Banda as well as wrote, directed and acted in the feature film Barrio Murders.  Both of these films were part of the 2002 CineSol Film Festival.

His latest work, Hunting of Man, (2003) marks Henrickson’s first lead role in a feature film.  It was written and directed by Joe Menendez, who was recently awarded the prestigious Film Festival Director's award for best feature at the 5th Annual Method Film Festival in Burbank, California. The multi-talented Menendez, is currently working as a writer on a new FOX series, Luis Guzman, which will premiere this coming Fall. The producer of Hunting of Man is Roni Eguia Menendez, a South Texas native with family in Mercedes. Hunting of Man is scheduled to be screened at the Los Angeles Latino Film Festival and the New York Latino International Film Festival.
