We are the reading specialists at Milam Elementary. In individual and small group settings we utilize Reading Recovery, Descubriendo la Lectura, and multi-sensory strategies to teach students to read and write.
We believe every child needs a core of people that will nurture his literacy skills. Thus we strive to network with teachers, parents, and support staff to meet each child's needs.
Our goal is to guide students to become independent readers and writers who are enthusiastic in all their academic pursuits.
