Introduction

Are you ready for an ooey, gooey chocolate treat! Do you like caramel? How about nuts? Would you like to invent a new scrumptious never before tasted candy bar? You are a Chocotoligist ( a person who knows plenty about chocolate) looking for new ideas to invent, create and sell your own chocolate bar.


The Task
Using the internet web sites below, you will research the history of chocolate. During your delicious adventure you will tour a chocolate factory, create a new candy bar, develop a slogan, design an advertisement, and be prepared to sell your famous new candy bar!
 
 

The Process
This is what you will do:
Before you begin on your chocolate adventure researching the internet web sites, look at the projects you must complete.
  1. First you'll need to form a team of four students.
  2. Now you are ready to visit the Hersheys Chocolate Factory!
  3. With your team find the following answers from your tour:
  4. Visit at least three of the following web sites:
  5. Create a new chocolate candy bar: a recipe and a  wrapper.
  6. Develop an advertisement campaign: slogan and poster.
  7. Sell, Sell, Sell! Produce a commercial promoting your candy bar.

Evaluation
Your team must finish all tasks and present your video taped commercial to a live audience. Your grade will be based on the following rubric: Chocolate Covered Creations Rubric
 
 

Conclusion
Fantastic! You created a new candy bar! You produced a commercial! You are now an expert chocotologist!
