About Volunteering

Without a doubt, every single one of us can think back to our own childhood and remember the people who inspired us to learn and to become a better person. In many cases, that person was a teacher. In some cases, it was a community volunteer. Because we believe that the spirit of volunteerism makes a definite impact on students, we open our arms to active parent and community involvement. McAllen ISD’s mission and goals speak to that. We are a learning organization of parents, community members, and District staff who “will engage in and model behaviors that promote continuous learning and success for all students.”

Be a mentor. Be a tutor. Be a volunteer. Impact a child’s future.

Won’t you volunteer to help a child?
