2002 Summer Band Camp

Welcome, Memorial High School Band Students!  We are looking forward to a great Marching & Concert Season. This year will be the 60th year for Pigskin. This could be our best year ever! In this information package, you will find dates (UIL & All-Valley, Concert dates, football schedule and SAT & ACT exams dates). Please take time to study all the information and plan your calendar for the Fall & Spring of 2002-03. No Quinceneras during football season! This year there will be night practices. Please make arrangements to be at all rehearsals.     

      All students need to wear a good pair of tennis shoes, cap, and sunglasses for protection from the sun. Please come prepared to work in the sun. Please do not wear dark clothes to the evening practices.     

      The band hall will be open on July 25th for those students that need a school instrument and music, between the hours of 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. (Lunch Hours 12:00 - 1:15 p.m.) Please bring $25.00(pay by cash or check) for rental fee. This instrument rental fee applies to all students that need an MISD instrument, including percussion students. Please call before you come by (632-5257 or 632-8872).

 

Important Notice

      All uniforms will be passed out on July 25th (9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m.). All students need to bring $5.00 for their uniform rental and cleaning fee. Lunch hours noon -1:15 p.m.! Band photo will be taken on August 2, 2002 3:00 pm. This photo is for the football program. All band students are required to attend the photo session.

 

All band students will need the following equipment for Marching Season:

      1.  Band T-shirt ($10.00) *                                       2.  Two Pair of Black Socks (Crew Type)

      3.  Black Oxford Band shoes ($23.00)                                       (No Black Tennis Shoes Allowed)

4.        Cleaning and Rental Fee for band uniform ($5.00)

5.        Band Baseball Cap for rehearsals ($12.00)

6.        White gloves*                        

* These items can be purchased through the High School Band Department.  If paying by check, please make out checks to McAllen Memorial H.S. Band.
