Duties

Band Directors

The role of the band directors is to be seen at all times and be ready to assist with whatever needs to be taken care of. The directors will be responsible for watching the entire group. Mr. Donalson is in charge of every aspect of the trip, if he does not know what is happening then it should not be….mwahahahaha!

Chaperones

The role of the chaperone is to be available at all times for the students that they are in charge of. Each chaperone will have a list of seven to ten students that are to report to them when needed.  The chaperones will not be babysitters ~ they will not hold your child’s hand. They will be available, along with the directors, if there is something that needs attention.  The chaperones will also conduct room checks at night.

Students

The role of the student is to be on their best behavior at all times. Students will be ON -TIME for all events, and to remember that they are representing their school and families.  In my 13 years at Memorial we have not had any major problems with students.  I fully expect the trend to continue. While staying on the ship there will NOT be any coed visiting at ANY time.   All cabin rules and regulations will be adhered to at all times. There will be a zero tolerance rule for any drinking or drugs. If there should be someone who makes the choice to do something wrong, then I will call the parents of that student and they will become responsible for getting their son/daughter home from the cruise immediately.

School Rules

As always school rules apply in all situations and will be enforced to the letter. This is a well-traveled group and as always I expect that you will not embarrass yourselves, your parents or your school by making choices that you know will only lead to trouble.
