Wilson Elementary, is the focal point of efforts by community, parents and teachers to prepare our children for successful life by teaching them how to learn.  To do this, Wilson will offer a cooperative educational environment that uses all of our combined resources to provide an effective learning program for all students.  The needs of the group as well as the special requirements of  each individual student will be addressed both in and out of the classroom.  Wilson will expect the best of its students, leading them by instruction and example to develop effective individual learning strategies, problem solving and critical thinking skills.  The Wilson community of parents and educators will seek every opportunity to prepare the students to become responsible for themselves and for their community, to see that education is a journey that begins today and lasts a lifetime.  With respect for others and for themselves, the students of Wilson will develop the academic and social skills that will prepare them for the new challenges that await them in middle school, high school, and adult life.
